i can’t decide whether this dish qualifies as more banana bread, or more cake. all i know is that i’ll be eating it for breakfast, regardless. whoever came up with cream cheese frosting, i owe you my life.
2 loaves gonanas banana bread
8oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup butter
2 tsp vanilla extract
4 cups powdered sugar
bake banana bread according to package in 2 round cake pans. let cool.
while the cake is baking, beat together cream cheese and butter until creamy. add vanilla and powdered sugar, one cup at a time until combined.
frost the first cake, then place the other cake on top. use the rest of the frosting to decorate the top of the second layer.
add final touches (i did banana and cinnamon) and enjoy!
