Other Banana Bread Recipes

While the above recipe is great, we have some other ones for you to try:

Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

If you love chocolate but feel like you shouldn’t be eating it for breakfast because it’s too unhealthy, you need to try this recipe.

This chocolate banana bread mix (not a banana bread cake mix) is made with simple ingredients, and the chocolate chips are vegan, so it’s perfect for those looking to start their day with a dairy-free breakfast. Here are the ingredients you need to make the banana bread:

  • Gonanas chocolate chip banana bread mix: The banana bread mix contains simple ingredients including oat flour, brown sugar, salt, cinnamon, baking soda, baking powder, flax, and vegan chocolate chips
    • 3 ripe bananas
    • 1 egg, beaten (you can also use a flax egg if you’re vegan)
    • 1 tsp vanilla extract
    • Salt to taste
    • ⅓ cup of butter or coconut oil

To make the chocolate chip banana bread mix, here’s what you need to do:

    1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees
    2. Add the bananas to a bowl and mash them until they’re smooth
    3. Add in the melted coconut oil or butter and stir until combined
    4. Add in the eggs, vanilla, salt, and baking soda
    5. Fold the batter into a greased loaf pan- if you wish, you can also drop the batter into muffin or mini-muffin tins
    6. Bake for 50 minutes to 1 hour.
    7. Allow the bread to cool off and enjoy!

To test if the banana bread is ready, you can use the toothpick test. Simply insert a toothpick into the banana bread. If the toothpick comes out clean, then that means your banana bread is ready to go.

    Crackly Banana Bread

If you like your banana bread with a little crunch, then we suggest whipping up some crackly Banana bread. Unlike traditional crunchy banana bread, this recipe doesn’t contain any walnuts, so it’s a great option for those with nut allergies.

Here are the ingredients you need to make crackly banana bread:

  • Gonanas crackly banana bread mix: Millet* is the secret ingredient that adds a crunchy texture to your banana bread
    • 3 bananas
    • 3 tablespoons of honey
    • 2 tbsp nondairy milk
    • 2 tbsp melted coconut oil

Here are the steps you need to take to make crunchy banana bread:

    1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and grease the bottom of a muffin tin or loaf pan
    2. Mash the bananas up with a fork until smooth
    3. Add in all other ingredients and stir until smooth
    4. Back the bread in the oven for 50 to 60 minutes.
    5. Allow the crackly banana bread to cool off and enjoy!

*Millet is really the star of the show in this banana bread recipe. It’s a whole grain that’s packed with antioxidants, protein, and other nutrients. It’s also rich in both soluble and insoluble fiber, so it can help keep you full throughout the day.
