Now, I think it is time for us to break it down. Let’s talk ingredients. You guys are my friends. My banana bunch, if you will. I simply cannot have you running all over town to get a million wild and crazy ingredients to make a time consuming and insane breakfast concoction. So instead, let’s just keep it simple. Most of these ingredients my experienced bakers will probably already have in their collection. And if you are newer in branching out to the baking world, the world of delicious and delectable banana bread breakfast goods, fret not. Anything you do not already have can easily be found in your neighborhood grocery store. My goal is to set you up for success. So without further adieu, here is the rundown. To start us off, you will of course need 1 package of your favorite flavor of Go Nanas banana bread mix. Get creative and let us know which one you choose! Then let’s of course grab our 3 ripe bananas - you know that sweet spot when they are nice and spotty but not all over brown. Next, let’s sweeten things up a smidge with 1 tablespoon of maple syrup. Grab 2 tablespoons of unsweetened almond milk (shoutout to our dairy free royalty) and 2 tablespoons of melted coconut oil. Now, let’s get really exciting. Grab 1 scoop of vanilla Muscle Tech protein (yum!). Finally, let’s round things out with ¼ cup of butterscotch chips and ¼ cup of oats. It really is as simple as that. Clean and lean and ready to set you up for success as you bake the most delicious Protein Banana Muffins and fuel up for a day of *peeling* back the layers to success. Banana puns, anyone? Anyone? Bueller?
Now you have all of the ingredients to start your morning off with a delicious treat. But wait! We are not quite done just yet. You did not think I would leave you high and dry without telling you the HOW, did ya? Time to break it down. In your absolute fave mixing bowl (mine is pink thank you so much for asking), mix together your bananas, coconut oil, almond milk, and maple syrup. Once you’ve got that all mixed up and ready to go, fold in your Go Nanas mix, your Muscle Tech vanilla protein, butterscotch chips, and oats! Stir stir stir until it is all perfectly combined. Then just pour all of the ooey gooey yumminess evenly into a muffin tin lined with cupcake liners (again, mine are pink thank you so much for asking). For a cute final touch, top those babies off with a sprinkle of oats. Then just bake at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes. And voila! Your Protein Banana Muffins are done just like that. Ready to grab and go and set you up for success.
Feeling excited about your fresh start yet? No? Okay, tough breakfast critic! I guess we need to really bring it home. They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day. And I have to say I quite agree. But I will be the first to say my mornings are not always exactly… on top of it. With my best intentions, I will set 5 alarms and… promptly snooze all of them. So needless to say I get it. It can be really hard to get on top of your routine in the morning. But we all know that a balanced breakfast is the best start to any day! So what better way to really set yourself up for success than with a previously batched and prepped yummy banana bread protein muffin. No need to crack eggs, toast bread, chop avocados, make a mess, CLEAN a mess, and squeeze your orange juice fresh in the moment. Though, don’t get me wrong, that sounds delightful. I just know you are a BOSS and your time is LIMITED. So now, with these delicious Protein Banana Muffins, you can just grab one and go as you provide yourself the best nourishment to get you through the day. Whether you are back on that morning commute grind or still rocking your work from home sweats and blouse combo, this delicious treat is sure to be exactly what you need. So, TREAT YOURSELF my sweet little banana bunch. Bon appetit!
